The Aerospace Corporation's Nightglow Imager (ANI) is managed by Dr. Jim Hecht at The Aerospace Corporation. It records OH airglow near 1.6 µm every 2 seconds over a ~73° field of view, and its data are used to study Kelvin–Helmholtz instabilities and other small-scale dynamics near the mesopause.
